Project Controller-2 in Stafford

Job Description Summary

We are looking for an exceptional Project Controller to join our Grid Solutions team based in Stafford.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project budgets, ensuring they are accurately aligned with sales positions and reflect actual progress and market trends.
• Validate the accuracy of cost estimates, including labour, materials and supplier invoices, to drive financial clarity.
• Develop mitigation and recovery plans in collaboration with functional leaders to address budget deviations.
• Communicate clear financial status, risks and forecasts to stakeholders to support proactive decision‑making.
• Collaborate with finance and planning teams to reconcile financial data and ensure cost and schedule alignment.
• Improve project performance by identifying root causes of cost movements and supporting the analysis of claims.

Qualifications

• Detail‑oriented cost control professional with strong analytical skills and experience managing complex project costs for large‑scale infrastructure work.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain financial data clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of risk‑management processes and ability to build effective mitigation plans.
• Expertise in financial reconciliation and cost‑to‑complete forecasting.
• Interest in the operational and financial success of grid infrastructure projects.
• A formal education in an engineering or finance‑related subject is preferred but not required; we value total experience and professional achievements.
