Roles & Responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience from a similar industrial industry including electronics, mechanical and manufacturing disciplines.
- Understand build test philosophies.
- Investigate production failures and propose new solutions.
- Support PCB and Product build.
- Experience in PCB/Product fault finding to component level and supply root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity and knowledge of the following areas of electronic hardware design: Digital/microprocessor, Memories, DSP/Microcontrollers, Analogue, Power supply.
- Ability to communicate with Hardware Engineers within the R&D Hardware Service Team and other engineering departments such as software and applications to ensure timely resolution of production issues.
- Adherence to documented policies and procedures to uphold quality of designs.
- PCB analysis of failed production PCBs using problem-solving techniques.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with 2+ years of experience preferred.
- HND in Electronics with approved apprenticeship and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Computer literate.
- Experience in the use of design/simulation tools.
- Relevant experience in fault finding and root-cause analysis, leading investigations, and completing full implementation within business timescales.
- Detailed knowledge of existing and future test philosophies.
- Proven high-level experience and knowledge of electronic hardware, ability to understand circuit designs, propose support solutions and diagnose to component level.
