Job Description Key Responsibilities

  • Transformer manufacturing: Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing processes with a comprehensive understanding of drawings, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
  • Leadership: Serve at a Co-Boss level (internal candidates), mentoring and training team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Quality Management: Implement quality assurance and control measures to maintain high standards. Lead initiatives for quality improvement across manufacturing processes.
  • Manufacturing Procedures: Develop and write clear, compliant, and efficient manufacturing procedures, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Process Standardization: Standardize processes to ensure consistency and operational excellence across all assembly activities.
  • Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify weaknesses in current processes and develop innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Best Practices Sharing: Share and implement best practices within the transformer industry to foster continuous improvement.
  • Training and mentoring people to execute manufacturing task at high quality and efficiency level Transfer to Production: Introduce new designs and processes to manufacturing, ensuring Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles are integrated.
  • RCA and Resolution of Process Issues: Collaborate with quality teams to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and resolve process issues. Act as the first line of support for production issues and elevate systemic or repeated issues as necessary.
  • Manufacturing Quality Gate Reviews: Support and participate in manufacturing quality gate reviews to ensure quality and process adherence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with lean teams, participating in lean/kaizen projects focused on defect reduction and process stability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in assembling active parts within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at a Co-Boss level (internal candidates).
  • Strong skills in quality assurance and control, with experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in developing manufacturing procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in process standardization and optimization.
  • Ability to identify and resolve process issues effectively.
  • Competency on training and mentoring people to execute manufacturing task at high quality and efficiency level Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
