We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Operative to join our Grid Solutions team in Stafford.
This key role ensures materials and components are received, stored, handled, and delivered efficiently to support on‑time production of critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
- Operate FLTs and overhead cranes to move materials across the site.
- Transport pallets, crates, and components to designated storage and production areas.
- Kit materials and components in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Maintain accurate stock records and update SAP systems.
- Carry out routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
- Support stock control activities including cycle counts and stock investigations.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and preserved to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised storage areas.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
- Support compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience using SAP or a similar warehouse management system.
- FLT (Forklift Truck) experience and certification.
- Overhead crane operating experience.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- A safety‑first mindset with a proactive approach to work.
- Shift Pattern
Rotating Monday to Friday: 6:00am–2:00pm, 2:00pm–10:00pm. Relocation and visa sponsorship not provided.
