The Lead Industrialisation Engineer will serve as the technical lead overseeing the industrialisation of HVDC and FACTS valves (VSC/LCC). The role bridges R&D and manufacturing, managing New Product Introductions (NPI), continuous improvement projects, and global transfers of manufacturing capabilities while ensuring stringent safety, quality, cost, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Industrialisation Strategy & Transfer Leadership – Drive the strategy for new products and manufacturing footprint expansions, including the physical transfer of production capabilities to international sites.
- Project Management – Lead cross‑functional teams and suppliers to meet project milestones for time, cost, and quality.
- Manufacturing Equipment Lifecycle – Oversee end‑to‑end lifecycle of production line equipment, from strategy and procurement to specification, installation, and commissioning.
- Design & DFx Reviews – Lead design reviews, define build strategies, and ensure robust documentation (risk assessments, work instructions, training).
- Process Improvement – Champion continuous improvement using Lean methodologies such as Kaizen and value‑stream mapping.
- Systems Integration – Define and implement manufacturing business systems (QMS, SAP, Hermes, Maximo).
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing – Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of technical development.
Travel requirement: Willingness to travel internationally to support transfers and commissioning.
