Lead technical projects and drive innovation in protection engineering for the electric utility and industrial markets as an Electrical Engineering Technical Lead at GE Vernova – Grid Automation. Your role will involve designing and implementing protection and panel design while acting as a bridge between customers and GE Vernova’s technical community to ensure successful delivery from inception to site commissioning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead Technical Projects: Drive technical project activities, lead customer kick‑off meetings, and ensure successful project execution from design to commissioning.
  • Customer and Project Management: Participate in project risk reviews, manage project budgets in terms of man‑days allocated to engineering tasks, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Design and Documentation: Analyse customer specifications, write project technical documentation, and validate technical solutions with customers.
  • Technical Oversight: Specify software and IEDs, manage technical execution planning, and ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Address technical deviations, manage fault reports, and support site engineers remotely or on‑site.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests, and coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones.
  • Training and Support: Provide project‑specific training to customers, support tendering and commercial teams, and ensure customer satisfaction through professional project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: BSc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in protection and electrical design engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of protection functions, electrical schematics, cubicle design, and familiarity with Micom, Multilin, etc.
  • Design Expertise: Proficient in designing and configuring protection relays and conducting network studies. Preferred candidates have proven knowledge of GE Vernova Substation Automation Solutions.
  • Travel: Ability to travel locally and globally, with a valid driver’s license.
