Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Manager role for a Bollywood Theme Lounge located in Greater London, with a salary of £48,000 per year (£25 per hour / 5 days per week).

The Senior Manager oversees day-to-day lounge operations, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient staffing, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supervising and supporting front-of-house and bar teams, managing reservations and guest flow, and maintaining a vibrant Bollywood-inspired atmosphere.

The role also involves monitoring budgets and costs, coordinating promotions and events, and working closely with suppliers and partners to ensure high-quality food, beverage, and entertainment offerings.

The Senior Manager is expected to lead by example, handle escalated guest issues, support recruitment and training, and contribute to continuous improvement of lounge performance.

These events will generally run during the late afternoon / evenings and nights at our venue.

You will build your own team and be responsible to delegate duties accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Strong hospitality and lounge management experience, including staff supervision and daily operations oversight.
  • Background in customer service and guest relations, with the ability to manage complaints and ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and basic financial reporting for hospitality venues.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing regulations relevant to bars, lounges, or restaurants.
  • Ability to plan and execute themed events or promotions, ideally with an interest in Bollywood culture and entertainment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality or nightlife venues in Greater London is highly beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by lounge operations.
  • Relevant vocational training or a qualification in hospitality management, business, or a related field is an advantage.
