ONLINE KS3 MATHEMATICS TEACHER – PART-TIME School: Haya Online Girls School Location: Remote/Online Pay: £15–£25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience Hours: 9 teaching hours per week Days: Monday to Thursday Teaching window: Between 10:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. UK time ABOUT THE ROLE Haya Online Girls School is seeking a knowledgeable, organised and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging online lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly, support pupils of different abilities and develop their confidence, reasoning and problem-solving skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Plan and deliver engaging KS3 Mathematics lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum. • Prepare suitable online resources, activities, homework and assessments. • Explain mathematical concepts clearly and adapt teaching to meet pupils’ individual needs. • Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate support and intervention. • Monitor pupils’ progress and maintain accurate assessment and attendance records. • Provide pupils with clear and constructive feedback. • Maintain a positive, respectful and well-managed online classroom. • Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues and school leaders when required. • Follow the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and educational policies. • Support the Islamic values and ethos of the school. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • A PGCE in Secondary Mathematics. • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3. • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum. • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills. • The ability to differentiate lessons for pupils with different abilities and learning needs. • Confidence using Microsoft Teams or other online teaching platforms. • A reliable internet connection, suitable computer and professional teaching environment. • Availability to teach 9 hours per week between 10:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., Monday to Thursday. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS • Qualified Teacher Status. • Experience teaching within the British education system. • Previous online teaching experience. • Experience teaching GCSE Mathematics or supporting pupils with GCSE preparation.
