We have a fantastic opportunity for a Premier Relationship Officer to join our Premier Banking Team at our London – Stratford Place Office. The Premier Relationship Officer will focus on acquiring and developing Premier relationships. To attend and proactively respond to customer requests and undertake cashiering and operational banking activities. In addition, to open accounts, with related administration activities and review and update KYC/KYB requirements, by supporting the completion of customer and enhanced due diligence. All this will be in line with regulatory and Bank\\\’s standards with the goals of delivering exceptional customer service to Al Rayan Bank\\\’s Premier Banking customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Management to collate all Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, prepare for write up the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reports for all applicants that are deemed high-risk and/or Politically Exposed Person(s) (PEPs) as part of the on-boarding process, event driven reviews and annual reviews.
- Perform Premier banking customer cash transactions in line with customer requests and Bank\\\’s processes and procedures, being alert to identify and prevent Money Laundering and Fraudulent activities. Undertake daily operational activities and accepting bulk cash deliveries, keeping accurate records in line with dual control procedures.
- Participate and contribute towards team engagement, assisting in the preparation of team meetings and morning huddles.
- Meet and greet customers, offer (where appropriate) refreshments, and attend to their needs whilst they wait to be served.
- Servicing customer requests for UK and International payments whilst fully adhering to the Bank\\\’s procedures and processes and recognising where there may be potential fraud and flagging through the relevant escalation process.
- Comply with operational risk and rigour requirements e.g., Health and Safety of Security of premises, critical incidents etc.
- Achieve Regulatory and operational risk and rigour excellence in all aspects of procedure/processes undertaken.
- Deliver one off activities and projects to the outcomes and standards agreed with line manager.
- The role will come with a deposits target for new money and will also require customer relationship management to retain existing funds, where appropriate to the customers needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educated to minimum GCSE level or equivalent experience/qualifications.
- Previous experience in a Premier Banking environment or UK Retail Banking environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of Islamic Finance
- Knowledge of appropriate UK Banking legislation/regulation.
