We are looking for a proactive HR Officer to support the HR Department in delivering HR strategies and operational plans. The role involves recruitment coordination, employee relations, training and development, HR reporting, and supporting managers to ensure effective HR practices across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
- To assist the HR Manager in developing and delivering HR strategies and HR work plans.
- To build strong working relationships with managers and their staff to develop a better understanding of the HR support they need to achieve maximum output.
- To coordinate the recruitment process and assist managers in meeting the resourcing requirements of their departments.
- To ensure accurate job descriptions are in place.
- To prepare and deliver new employee inductions.
- To conduct the recruitment lifecycle.
- To capture staff skills and capabilities through skills mapping.
- To identify training needs, find suitable training providers, and organise training accordingly.
- To provide advice and support to staff on all employee relations issues as and when required.
- To ensure the administrative requirements of the HR team are maintained, updated, recorded, and monitored, including the drafting and filing of HR correspondence such as offer letters, contract variation letters, probation completion letters, references, maternity letters, risk assessments, procedures, and paternity processes.
- To use the HRIS to capture, analyse, evaluate, and advise on data from various sources (appraisals, surveys, etc.) in relation to absence, performance, engagement, remuneration, and training and development.
- To prepare annual pay reviews for all companies, issue letters, and update software.
- To liaise with our external HR Advisors as and when necessary.
- To update and advise on HR policies and processes to ensure effective communication and compliance with good HR practice, keeping up to date with all legislative and good practice developments and implementing knowledge accordingly.
- Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
Other Responsibilities
- To comply with all policies, procedures, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- To hold a valid passport and be willing and able to travel extensively and at short notice.
- To have the flexibility to work additional hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and meet the business needs.
- To be responsible for health and safety in the area of his/her control and ensure familiarity with AKF’s health and safety at work policy.
