Role Overview Dar-us-Salaam is seeking a Freelance Graphic Designer who specializes in brochure and print design, with a strong understanding of donor-focused communication. This role will support the creation of a six-panel Waqf brochure that clearly and compellingly communicates the purpose, vision, and impact of the project. The designer will be responsible for transforming provided content into a visually impactful and strategically structured brochure that guides the reader, builds understanding, and supports donor engagement. Project Scope (Initial) Design a six-panel Waqf brochure Content (text and photos), messaging, and project details will be provided by Dar-us-Salaam Designer will focus on layout, hierarchy, visual flow, and clarity Designer must also develop an infographic to be used inside the brochure; details to be provided Additional details and refinements will be shared as the project progresses. Responsibilities Design a six-panel brochure with strong visual hierarchy and readability Translate donor-focused messaging into a clear and engaging visual layout Ensure the brochure communicates purpose, impact, and value effectively Collaborate with the Director of Strategic Communications on structure and feedback Incorporate revisions based on feedback and refinement rounds Prepare print-ready files and any required digital versions Key Expectations This is a donor-focused design project, not just a visual exercise Design choices should support clarity, storytelling, and emotional connection The final brochure should leave readers with a strong understanding of the Waqf project and its significance Strong command of the English language, including clear writing, proper grammar, and the ability to communicate ideas effectively within an English-speaking professional context.

Required Qualifications
Portfolio demonstrating brochure, print, or long-form layout design
Strong sense of typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy
Ability to work with structured content and elevate it visually
Comfortable working through feedback and revisions

Experience working with nonprofits or mission-driven organizations
Familiarity with print production standards
