We are a long-established, family‑run restaurant in the heart of Brighton and are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team.

We'd really like to hear from you if you share our passion for using fresh ingredients, and preparing authentic dishes from scratch, including fish and seafood which we buy in daily.

You will be required to have at least 1 year of experience and a background in Italian cooking would be a bonus. Training is provided and so this is not essential, though you should have a keen interest in Italian cuisine.

You must be hardworking, punctual and have experience of working in a fast‑paced and busy environment. You will also be required to fully support a small team of chefs and kitchen assistants.

You will ensure that Health/Food Safety practises are followed and that daily records are maintained and kept up‑to‑date.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of kitchen experience.
  • Background in Italian cooking is a bonus.
  • Training in Italian cuisine is helpful but not required.
  • Hardworking, punctual, and experienced in fast‑paced environments.
  • Capability to support a small team of chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Commitment to Health/Food Safety practices and maintenance of daily records.
