Technical Sales Representative – Commercial Vehicle Coatings
Location: Field Based – To cover Bristol, Solihull and Birmingham.

We’re looking for a Technical Sales Representative to help drive growth and deliver expert technical support across our Commercial Vehicle coatings market. In this role, you’ll combine hands‑on product expertise with customer relationship skills to deliver training, support new business, and strengthen partnerships with existing clients.

What you’ll do:
- Deliver professional training and demonstrations on product use, application techniques, and equipment for existing and prospective customers.
- Support sales colleagues during key phases of the sales process, bringing technical expertise to help win and retain business.
- Conduct technical audits and trials at customer sites, ensuring optimal product performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively solve technical issues for customers, coordinating with technical teams to provide solutions and education.
- Assist with testing and implementation of new products and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in CRM systems, including audit reports, visit notes, and equipment details.
- Promote AkzoNobel’s values and build long‑term relationships with customers, representing the brand positively at all times.
- Provide feedback and insights on market trends, recommending ways to strengthen our approach and training offer.
- Coordinate visit schedules with the Sales Representative and deliver training independently on‑site.
What you bring:
- A minimum of A Level (science or business) or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive hands‑on application experience, ideally within the Commercial Vehicle or Car Refinish industry.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the confidence to manage unexpected technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage and influence at all levels.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Skilled at building credibility and strong working relationships quickly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
