Job Purpose
An important member of the Dulux Decorator Centre (DDC) store management team, you will support the Store Manager in increasing sales and market share by building effective partnerships with customers as well as developing and engaging the store sales team to meet performance targets. Important will be the ability to cover for the Store Manager in their absence. This is a full time 40 hr per week role, and you need to be available to work shifts between 7am and 5pm Mon‑Fri. You will also work some occasional Saturday shifts.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager to deliver a culture of engagement & the national engagement plan, through action planning.
- Assist in the nurturing of a high performing sales team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Own & manage store standards in line with the DDC Operational Excellence Guide.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the ownership of the P&L with an emphasis on delivering sales, while optimising margin, cost efficiency & protecting against stock/cash losses.
- Cultivate & maintain strong customer relationships.
- Help review performance + monitor customer/store trends.
- Support improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising a store and reviewing people/business performance.
- Driving licence is essential.
- Understanding the importance of nurturing and inspiring colleagues.
- Comfortable using business systems.
- Commercially astute.
