About the role
As Global Data Lead, you will build the data foundations that power decision-making, digital transformation, and AI across Decorative Paints.
You will create a single source of truth for commercial, customer, and product data while driving governance, quality, and data-driven ways of working worldwide.
You will play a critical role in enabling advanced analytics and ensuring Akzo Nobel is ready to scale AI successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global data strategy.
- Establish governance, standards, and data quality frameworks.
- Lead master data initiatives across product, customer, and commercial domains.
- Drive harmonization and integration of global data sources.
- Own programs related to product information management and customer data excellence.
- Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, and Digital teams.
- Support advanced analytics and AI use cases through robust data foundations.
- Improve data literacy and adoption across the organization.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience in data management, governance, analytics, or data strategy.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and data architecture principles.
- Experience working with commercial, customer, and product data.
- Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.
