As Global Data Lead, you will build the data foundations that power decision-making, digital transformation, and AI across Decorative Paints.

You will create a single source of truth for commercial, customer, and product data while driving governance, quality, and data-driven ways of working worldwide.

You will play a critical role in enabling advanced analytics and ensuring Akzo Nobel is ready to scale AI successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global data strategy.
  • Establish governance, standards, and data quality frameworks.
  • Lead master data initiatives across product, customer, and commercial domains.
  • Drive harmonization and integration of global data sources.
  • Own programs related to product information management and customer data excellence.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, and Digital teams.
  • Support advanced analytics and AI use cases through robust data foundations.
  • Improve data literacy and adoption across the organization.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong experience in data management, governance, analytics, or data strategy.
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and data architecture principles.
  • Experience working with commercial, customer, and product data.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a complex global environment.
