Brand Building Manager – Interior Wall Paint (IWP) Location: Slough
We’re looking for a Brand Building Manager – Interior Wall Paint (IWP) to lead one of our most important professional segments and drive sustainable growth across the local UK market. In this role, you will run the Professional Interior Wall Paint segment as your own business, shaping local vision and strategy and driving activation that delivers short- and long-term performance.
What you’ll do:
- Own and lead the Professional Interior Wall Paint segment locally, driving the brand and commercial agenda to deliver sustainable growth in market share, GIV, and volume.
- Develop and deliver the annual local IWP brand plan, ensuring alignment with business unit mandates, commercial priorities, and the wider EMEA roadmap.
- Contribute to local commercial and operational plans, while sharing market opportunities and insights with the EMEA brand and category teams.
- Lead the local execution of IWP operating and commercial plans, including activations, new product introductions, and complexity reduction initiatives.
- Own local IWP NPI projects agreed on the EMEA roadmap and ensure effective execution of key strategic initiatives in market.
- Localise international campaigns in line with brand guidelines to maximise relevance and impact in the local market.
- Develop local campaigns, promotions, and always-on content that drive brand visibility, engagement, and commercial performance.
- Manage the relevant A&P budget and ensure activation investment is allocated effectively to deliver business results.
- Keep local product documentation accurate, up to date, and compelling for customers and stakeholders.
- Evaluate campaign and NPI performance, using data and insight to improve ROI and strengthen future activity.
- Build and manage strong working relationships with external agencies, the EMEA brand team, sales and field sales teams, and customer experience colleagues.
- Drive the commercial success of campaigns, innovation, and brand-building activity by ensuring the right communications reach the right target customers.
- Lead assortment mix analysis and management, optimising the local portfolio and product mix within the country.
- Provide input into demand planning and forecasting to support business performance and operational alignment.
- Work closely with and provide strategic direction to the IWP Whites Brand Building Manager and IWP Colour Brand Building Manager.
What you bring:
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in brand building/marketing roles at a Senior Brand Building / Marketing Manager level.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent business analysis skills and the ability to translate insight into action.
- Proven project management experience in a multidisciplinary environment, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A pragmatic marketing mindset with a natural interest in local market dynamics and customer‑unit needs.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate performance and identify actions to improve results.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
