Job Purpose
Your role will be to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance in a safe and efficient manner in line with recognised codes and practices to minimise downtime for our busy production site in Leyland.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement daily, weekly and monthly inspection routines looking for & rectifying issues before they become a break down.
- Cover maintenance/repairs on single and 3 phases electrical systems, 24V control systems & instrumentation.
- Cover maintenance/repairs on various types of pumps, agitators, presses, valves & pipe work systems.
- Help ensure the site’s compliance with statutory requirements such as emergency lighting, legionella control & PAT testing for new items.
- Provide input for process modifications.
- Participate in identifying & executing continuous improvement activities to enhance the site’s performance.
Job Requirements
- HNC/ONC in Engineering with relevant experience in manufacturing & a good knowledge of factory operations.
- Time served electrical apprentice fully compliant with 18th Edition IEE, testing and inspection and CompEX regulations.
- Time served mechanical apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of repairing and maintaining pumps, valves, gearboxes, chain & belt drives, conveying systems, palletisers & filling lines.
- Knowledge of fault finding, reading electrical drawings, rewiring 24V, single and 3 phase equipment.
