Job Purpose
As an Account Manager within our Protective Coatings division, your role is to profitably grow our business by developing and managing strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities with new prospects. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering and key account teams, while also engaging with strategic and non-buying accounts, including architects, specifiers and engineers, to drive demand and specification across the contract chain.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic action plan to meet and exceed sales and margin KPIs across assigned customer base.
- Maintain close engagement with both existing and new customers, promoting product advantages and technical services.
- Lead activity at key strategic accounts, developing specifications and project offers independently.
- Accurately forecast product needs and ensure pricing is centrally maintained and aligned.
- Utilise CRM and other internal tools to support performance reporting, pipeline management and territory planning.
- Exchange market intelligence and competitor insights with internal teams to enhance overall offering.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and account management, preferably within coatings, construction, or related industries.
- Track record of achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets.
- Ability to build credible relationships with a variety of stakeholders – from owners and architects to applicators and fabricators.
- Able to work independently, think strategically and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
- Knowledge of protective coatings, infrastructure markets or the fabricator industry would be beneficial.
- Full driving licence.
