Overview
In this role you shape customer investment and trade terms for AkzoNobel’s Decorative Paints in EMEA, linking terms to performance. You enable commercial teams with tools and skills to make stronger decisions, and govern the EMEA RGM agenda with cross‑functional partners. You’ll translate complex commercial topics into actionable guidance and drive consistent ways of working across markets. This is a high-impact, cross‑region role with a focus on transparency, governance and results.

Responsibilities
- Design and lead the EMEA framework for customer investment and trade terms with clear criteria and market links
- Improve transparency of customer investment and its return; identify opportunities to increase effectiveness
- Drive consistency across markets and customers while guiding teams through transition
- Provide commercial analysis, tools and guidance to support discussions and negotiations
- Establish governance for trade terms, including approvals, exceptions and reviews
- Own governance and operating rhythm of the EMEA RGM agenda, including inputs to planning and reporting
- Design and deliver learning programmes to build revenue growth management skills and consistent ways of working
- Lead the EMEA commercial community; share best practices and refine playbooks and tools
Key requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or comparable field
- At least 5 years of experience in revenue growth management, commercial finance, key account management, trade investment or related areas with direct customer negotiation experience
- Experience designing or restructuring customer trade terms across multiple markets
- Strong understanding of customer profitability, including gross-to-net calculations and investment modelling
- Ability to translate complex commercial topics and data into clear recommendations and action plans
- Experience building commercial capabilities and adoption across an organization
- Experience establishing governance and operating rhythms across multi-market teams; reporting and planning cycles
- Confidence engaging with senior Sales and Commercial leaders and influencing in an international environment
- Strong analytical, leadership and project management skills; advanced Excel and Power BI; fluent English
