If you’re a practical, customer-focused engineer who enjoys solving problems and working independently, this could be a great opportunity for you. As our Maintenance Engineer covering the North East of England, you’ll take on a varied field-based role where no two days are the same. You’ll use your technical expertise to deliver high-quality maintenance support, build strong relationships with customers and contractors, and play an important part in helping us provide an excellent service.
What you’ll be doing in the role:
- Visiting sites across the region and carrying out maintenance work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Diagnosing faults, completing repairs on the first visit where possible and recommending next steps when further work is needed.
- Producing clear and accurate site and maintenance reports using company systems.
- Supporting surveying activity, including taking measurements for bathrooms and shower screen requirements.
- Building positive relationships by providing product guidance and technical support to customers, contractors and installers.
- Sharing your knowledge through product demonstrations, training sessions and toolbox talks on relevant electro-mechanical products.
- Managing your own workload while contributing ideas that help us continuously improve our service.
What you’ll bring:
- 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics.
- A qualification in plumbing and/or electrical work.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Experience in plumbing and/or electrical maintenance.
- Good working knowledge of building and installation practices.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with a customer‑focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and contractors.
- Experience using Doc M guidance.
- A background in building or construction.
- Experience delivering product demonstrations or contractor training.
