This course is designed to introduce you to the fundamental principles and techniques needed to manage a small project. It will enable you to develop a practical approach to defining and initiating a project, monitoring and controlling it and identifying factors that can contribute to its success. The small project has special needs and often limited resources. This one-day training course will provide you with a range of tools, techniques and strategies to improve success rates of small projects without becoming constrained by project management bureaucracy.
By the end of the training you will be able to:

- Setting clear, realistic objectives for a project
- Identifying the principal components and processes of a structured approach to management of small projects
- Understanding the terminology used in projects
- Understanding the stages of the project life cycle
- Planning, organising and documenting a project in a logical manner

- Using a collection of project documentation templates, tools and techniques
- Monitoring and controlling a small project effectively
