AKT (pronounced “act”) is The Personal Performance Company with multi award-winning body care that may change your life. Founded by West End stars Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, AKT is by and for those who are “Born to Perform” — on the stage, at work, or in life. In 2020, The Deodorant Balm made its stunning debut to rave reviews and awards from Vogue, GQ, Esquire, and Harper’s BAZAAR. Plastic-free, aluminium-free, and gender-free, The Deodorant Balm instantly resonated with those looking for a natural deodorant that genuinely worked. Five fragrances and over 700,000 happy armpits later, The Deodorant Balm is already becoming a household name. To this day, every new AKT product is put through its paces by London’s hard-working theatre community to ensure it lives up to the high standards of its founders.
About The Role: As Senior Retail Analyst, you will lead the end-to-end insight creation for our Wholesale, Retail and Amazon trading channels that will drive smarter decisions and improved commercial performance. You’ll play a pivotal role in optimising our commercial performance across our Wholesale, Retail and Amazon channels. You’ll dive deep into data to deliver insights that drive smarter decisions around pricing, promotions, sell-through, stock, and demand planning. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Trading, Marketing, Finance, and Ops / Supply Chain teams to ensure we’re growing profitably while keeping customers at the heart of every decision. This is an opportunity to help build the commercial foundations of a fast-scaling, purpose-led brand.
Data, and this role, is critical to the success of AKT’s continued growth, and as such this role is high profile, impactful and will work very closely with our senior management, in particular our SVP Sales, as well as the Head of and the Data & Insight team members. You will work across multiple stakeholders, functions and external partners as needed. The role will be based in the UK (and work UK hours) but will liaise occasionally with stakeholders from the USA and other territories so some flexibility is required.
Requirements

- Identify over- and under-performing SKUs and provide clear, actionable recommendations to optimise margin and sell-through.
- Support trading decisions around replenishment, markdowns, and range transitions.
- Leverage retailer data portals (e.g. Sephora Data Exchange, Space NK sales reports, Douglas EDI, and Mecca reporting systems) to access data and analyse sell-through, inventory, and promotional performance at the door and SKU level.
- Channel & Product Performance (30%)
- Deliver insight on category, product, and channel performance to inform range and launch strategies.
- Build and maintain intuitive dashboards (ThoughtSpot) that empower teams (internal and external partners) to make faster, data-driven decisions.
- Partner with E-commerce and Retail teams to assess the commercial impact of campaigns and product drops.
- Track and evaluate new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events by retailer and region.
- Measure post-launch success through door productivity, incremental sales, and retention impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)
- Align closely with Trading, Ops & Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, and margin planning.

About You:
Relevant experience in a commercial or trading analytics role within a D2C, consumer, or retail environment (ideally personal care, skincare, or beauty). Demonstrable experience of high numeracy, strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problems. Expert in discovering trends, analysis of complex datasets, and linking data insights to commercial action — balancing short-term trading goals with long-term brand growth. Strong understanding of pricing, promotions, and retail sell-through dynamics. Proven ability in SKU performance, forecasting demand and optimising replenishment, and markdowns. Expert SQL skills, ideally using cloud databases. Good knowledge and experience of database structure and modelling, preferably using DBT or similar. Experience of developing powerful data visualisation and communicating compelling stories using modern BI tools, such as ThoughtSpot, and slides. Good understanding of, and experience, in pricing and promotional testing and measurement, working with teams to design, implement and analyse initiatives. Knowledge of and experience in building statistical and machine learning models such as pricing, classification, causal inference, forecasting using Python, or similar. Experience working in a fast-paced retail, eCommerce, B2C and/or subscription business.
