AKT (pronounced "act") is The Personal Performance Company with multi award-winning body care that may change your life. Founded by West End stars Ed Currie and Andy Coxon, AKT is by and for those who are "Born to Perform" — on the stage, at work, or in life.
In 2020, The Deodorant Balm made its stunning debut to rave reviews and awards from Vogue, GQ, Esquire, and Harper's BAZAAR. Plastic-free, aluminium-free, and gender-free, The Deodorant Balm instantly resonated with those looking for a natural deodorant that genuinely worked. Five fragrances and over 700,000 happy armpits later, The Deodorant Balm is already becoming a household name.
To this day, every new AKT product is put through its paces by London's hard-working theatre community to ensure it lives up to the high standards of its founders. As a rule, AKT's products don't break character — ever. It's this effectiveness that has propelled AKT from the backstage to bathroom cabinets, bedside tables, duffel bags, and carry-on luggage worldwide. And the good news is — the performance is just getting started.
About The Role: As a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer, reporting directly into the Brand Marketing Manager, you'll be driving the visual identity of our brand across all digital, print and OOH touchpoints. Requirements:
- Brand & Creative Direction: Be a guardian of the AKT London brand identity, ensuring consistency, creativity and relevance across all channels. Work closely and collaboratively with the Brand Marketing Manager and Head of Brand Marketing to ensure campaign and content concepts are executed in line with the overall creative vision – bringing ideas to life cohesively across all digital outputs.
- Champion innovation by introducing forward-thinking design trends, elevating the visual storytelling of the brand.
- Lead concept development and oversee creative execution across all briefs – from marketing campaigns to day-to-day content.
- Own and drive creative direction for digital outputs including website assets, emails, social media visuals, digital ads, and influencer-led content.
- Craft high-performing design solutions that merge creativity with strategic purpose – engaging our audiences and supporting commercial goals.
- Execute across a variety of design disciplines – layout, motion, typography, and interactivity – all while maintaining a premium look and feel.
- Direct high-profile projects, from ideation through to delivery, ensuring all outputs are aligned with our brand DNA and audience expectations.
- Manage the workflow ensuring all assets are delivered on time, on brand and to the highest standard.
- Prioritise and allocate work efficiently across projects, managing tight timelines and multiple stakeholders with confidence.
- Champion efficient creative processes for seamless collaboration across marketing, eCommerce, product, and influencer teams.
About You:
- Qualification in Digital Design, Digital Media, UX/UI, or a related creative field.
- Proven portfolio of digital-first design across fashion, lifestyle, beauty or similar fast-paced consumer brands.
- Experience managing creative workflows in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Expert across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), as well as Figma.
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX, responsive design, and mobile-first principles.
- A high level of creative execution – from typography and layout to motion and digital storytelling.

- Flexible working: work from home, at our Oxford Circus office (which comes with gym access), or in co-working spaces across the UK. We'll reimburse you if you prefer a co-working space over working from home.
- Monthly team days in London to connect with the AKT ensemble.
- Be part of a collective of creatives where the arts underpin everything we do. A funny, kind, and inclusive work environment — we are banter, but we get sh*t done.
- Allowance for products to give you the confidence to step onto the stage and perform.
- Intervals encouraged: 36 days holiday, including bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time roles).
