We are looking for a Change and Communications Lead, who will own the end-to-end messaging framework and channel strategy while driving all change management activities. This role is responsible for building stakeholder readiness and ensuring the sustainable adoption of new ways of working from inception through to program completion. This is a 80-100% FTE client-facing role, open to employees or contractors, with a project duration of 1 year. Hybrid, with 2-3 days a week of onsite work in the North West. We are open to applicants who prefer to focus only on Change Management or Comms in a part time capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Lead the identification, analysis, and ongoing management of all impacted groups to foster alignment and project commitment.
- Change Impact & Readiness: Design and facilitate Change Impact Assessments (CIAs) and readiness surveys to map the people-side effects of transitions and gauge organizational preparedness.
- Strategic Communications: Develop the overarching communications strategy, encompassing audience segmentation, messaging hierarchy, channel selection, and cadence planning.
- Content & Asset Creation: Produce all program communication materials—including digital content, videos, and FAQs—ensuring strict alignment with brand standards and project tone.
- Change Agent Network: Build and manage a network of local champions, providing the training and support necessary to drive adoption at the team level.
- Engagement & Awareness: Plan and deliver high-impact engagement events, such as town halls, roadshows, and launch activities, to build widespread awareness.
- Governance & Reporting: Deliver comprehensive governance reporting, including change progress dashboards, risk/issue logs, and communication approval workflows.
- Strategic Alignment & Optimization: Support the Change Principal in maintaining methodology alignment with the ADKAR based AKT PAIR framework while tracking effectiveness to adjust approaches based on data.
- Proven experience delivering change management on large-scale HR transformation or ERP programmes.
- Strong facilitation skills — able to run workshops, CIAs, and readiness sessions with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience in internal or change communications, including content creation across written, visual, and digital formats.
- Experience building and sustaining Change Agent Networks across complex, multi-site organisations.
- Ability to develop communications strategies and reusable toolkits that enable sustained delivery beyond the initial build phase.
- Familiarity with structured ADKAR change methodology.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model with some on-site presence at client locations.
- High proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
- Dynamic project leader and team player with strong commitment and drive to accomplish individual and team tasks and goals.
