The position requires hands-on engagement with participants and technology in a dynamic research setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Protocol Leadership: Lead human research protocols in individual or group settings, often managing multiple participants simultaneously across various exercise modalities, while ensuring safety and adherence to strict SOPs.
  • Technical Data Collection: Execute high-fidelity data capture using gold-standard equipment alongside Google's wearable ecosystem (Pixel Watch, Fitbit Devices).
  • Data Integrity & Troubleshooting: Perform QA on collected data to ensure it meets our robust research standards. You must be a fast learner capable of troubleshooting proprietary hardware, firmware, and experimental rigs on the fly.
  • Subject & Study Coordination: Manage the end-to-end participant experience - from recruitment and scheduling to Informed Consent and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance: Maintain rigorous documentation, adhering to best clinical practice, Data Retention policies, and Research Ethics Committee requirements.

You will be at the forefront of health and wearable technology, working in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts the development of future Google products. Must Have Skills:

  • BSc/MSc in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, Biomedicine, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience leading human testing in applied settings (sports science lab, elite athletes, clinical, or performance coaching).
  • Familiarity with wearable ecosystems (smartwatches, rings, trackers) and human performance hardware (VO2 Max carts, ECG, Force Plate, etc.).
  • Highly organized with a knack for administrative tracking and scheduling.
  • Ability to work onsite at our King’s Cross lab 5 days a week.
