Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Human Performance Research Associate to be the operational engine behind our data collection. You will manage groups of participants through a variety of rigorous exercise protocols ensuring every sensor, wearable, and gold‑standard lab device captures high‑fidelity data.
Key Responsibilities
- Protocol Leadership: Lead human research protocols in group settings, managing multiple participants simultaneously across various exercise modalities while ensuring safety and adherence to SOPs.
- Technical Data Collection & QA: Execute high‑fidelity data capture using gold‑standard equipment alongside Client wearable ecosystem (Pixel Watch, Fitbit Devices).
- Data Integrity & Troubleshooting: Perform QA on collected data to ensure it meets research standards. Fast learner capable of troubleshooting proprietary hardware, firmware, and experimental rigs on the fly.
- Subject & Study Coordination: Manage the end‑to‑end participant experience - from recruitment and scheduling to Informed Consent and risk mitigation.
- Compliance: Maintain rigorous documentation, adhering to best clinical practice, Data Retention policies, and Research Ethics Committee requirements.
You will be at the forefront of health and wearable technology, working in a fast‑paced environment where your work directly impacts the development of future Client products. This is not a "desk job"—it is a hands‑on role for a "doer" who loves the intersection of human performance and technology.
Must-Have Skills
- Degree in Physiology, Sports Science, Biomedicine, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an applied setting such as coaching, personal training, sports club leadership, or military instruction.
- Experience in a clinical or research lab is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with the wearable ecosystem (smartwatches, rings, trackers) and human performance hardware (VO2 Max carts, ECG, Force Plate, etc.).
- Highly organized with a knack for administrative tracking and scheduling.
- Ability to work onsite at our King’s Cross lab 5 days a week.
