As a Senior Designer in our London studio, you'll be a highly skilled designer with exceptional craft across brand and communications.
You'll help shape and deliver creative work across a variety of clients.
From social campaigns and digital content to films, stills and brand assets, you'll produce thoughtful, beautifully executed work that elevates every brief.
This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership of work from brief to delivery, and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to make great work happen.
- Role Responsibilities
- Create outstanding brand and communications work across digital, social, campaigns, motion, film and print.
- Apply and evolve brand identities and design systems to deliver high-quality creative across every touchpoint.
- Take ownership of briefs and confidently drive projects from concept through to delivery with minimal direction.
- Work across multiple client accounts, adapting quickly to different brands, teams and creative challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Design Directors, Copywriters, Strategists and Client Services to deliver exceptional work.
- Design creative for campaigns, social, digital experiences, presentations, film and stills.
- Contribute to UI and digital interface design where appropriate, supporting digital experiences across a range of client projects.
- Ensure consistency, quality and craft across every touchpoint.
- Stay curious about emerging technologies and explore how AI can enhance creative workflows and execution.
Qualifications and Characteristics
- A compelling portfolio that showcases exceptional design craft across brand and communications.
- Strong experience working within established design systems and translating them into high-quality creative deliverables across multiple channels.
- A highly capable generalist, comfortable designing across social, campaigns, digital, film, stills and print.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Keynote. Working knowledge of After Effects or motion design is an advantage.
- Comfortable contributing to UI and digital design where required, while bringing a strong foundation in visual design.
- A proactive, self-starting mindset with the confidence to take ownership of briefs and deliver them independently.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, solving problems independently and adapting to changing priorities.
- Passionate about design craft, with exceptional attention to typography, layout, composition and detail.
- Curious about emerging technologies and excited to explore how AI can enhance creative workflows and design execution.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and present work to both internal teams and clients.
- Collaborative by nature, building strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams while contributing positively to AKQA's creative culture.

- A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related creative discipline is preferred, although equivalent professional experience is equally valued.
