Art Directors play essential roles in the strategy, conception and design of beautiful ideas, products and services. They bring exceptional creative thought and craft output, developing and delivering projects from brief to production and beyond, work that is distinctive, effective and truly remarkable. As a Senior Art Director in London, you will play (or with your Creative Team Copywriter partner) a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, conception, and design of compelling ideas, experiences, and products. With your exceptional creative vision and craft skills, you will develop transformative work for both regional and global clients. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team within the London Studio and across the AKQA network, you’ll push creative boundaries to deliver impactful and innovative solutions. ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Lead the development of creative work across a range of projects and clients, with guidance from the ACD or CD.
- Take a hands-on approach, demonstrating exceptional execution skills while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Inspire the team by embracing challenges and fostering innovative thinking.
- Create and deliver original, compelling, and conceptually strong work across experiences, campaigns, brand identities, and digital products.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the AKQA network to bring ideas to life.
- Present concepts internally and externally to senior clients, clearly communicating the value and vision.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and inspire professional growth within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS
- 5+ years of relevant experience in creative agencies or brand-side roles, working with large-scale global projects and clients.
- A portfolio showcasing high-quality, globally recognized work, including brand, campaign, and experience pieces with measurable business impact.
- Proven experience in digital product design and cross-channel storytelling.
- Confident in presenting and articulating ideas both internally and to clients.
- A degree in Design, Visual Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Keynote.
- A natural curiosity and passion for finding inspiration in diverse sources, with a keen interest in the future of media and technology.
- Driven to push creative boundaries and craft groundbreaking ideas that stand out.
- Fluency in business-level English, both written and spoken.
- Craft-focused in your approach to work, presentations, and creative execution.
