AKP Limited is looking for an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our skilled manufacturing team. We are a quality-led engineering company producing high-precision components to demanding customer requirements. We hold recognised Aerospace, Environmental and Health & Safety accreditations, reflecting our commitment to quality, continuous improvement and high standards throughout the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and would like to develop their career within a growing and supportive company.
Working from customer drawings and specifications, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls to manufacture high-precision components.
- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls
- Selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds and machining methods
- Carrying out dimensional and quality checks to ensure components meet specification
- Organising your workload effectively to meet production requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve machining methods, efficiency and quality
- Working in accordance with the company's Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety procedures
Has proven experience as a CNC Turner:
- Can confidently program, set and operate CNC turning machines
- Understands the importance of precision, quality and attention to detail
- Takes pride in producing high-quality components
- Experience within a high-precision, aerospace or similarly quality-focused engineering environment would be advantageous.
