The predicted salary is between 28000 - 35000 £ per year.
Working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. The main purpose of this role will be:
- To assist in the New Product Introduction process and to help define manufacturing processes.
- Assisting to optimise designs and processes to meet customer requirements, maximise quality and efficiency.
- To identify any problems in the production line, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and completing various administrative tasks.
The main requirements and accountabilities are:
- Supporting the development and maintaining manufacturing routes and Bill Of Materials in ERP system.
- Support quoting process with technical input and accurate cost estimates.
- Assist with design and manufacturing to optimize new product introduction.
- Assist identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Support with the creation and maintenance of work instructions and process documentation.
- Gain product knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes relating to components and assemblies.
- Assist in training for other staff members in the use of ERP system.
- Support the review of Engineering Change Notice requests and completion of ECN actions.
- Provide support with 8D and Non Conformance Report investigations by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist with the design of products, creation of 3D CAD models and 2D production drawings.
- Support in the review of customer drawings for build-to-print designs.
- Assist with the design of fixtures required for production manufacturing processes.
- Provide support with customers.
- Provide support with suppliers.
The essential skills/experience required for this role are:
- Proven experience in the engineering field.
- Experience with CAD software and a proficiency in MS office.
- A degree or an HNC in engineering.
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- An open-minded attitude towards new ideas.
- Experience as a hands-on doer with the skills to assemble small and large complex assemblies.
