Working 22-28 hours per week across 3 to 5 days - office based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing day to day bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries.
  • Preparing & submitting VAT returns.
  • Processing monthly CIS returns accurately and on time.
  • Assisting with annual accounts, from both complete and incomplete records.
  • Liaising directly with clients / HMRC to resolve queries.
  • Oversight of bookkeeping tasks of other colleagues.
  • Attendance at relevant training seminars, where required.
  • Completion of general office duties.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Awareness of MTD changes.
  • VAT.
  • CIS.
  • Accounting in Practice experience is essential: Minimum 3 yrs.
  • Strong working knowledge with Sage50, Excel, Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail & accuracy in accounts preparation.
  • Strong communication skills & a client focused attitude.
  • Team player in a small supportive firm.

Education/Qualifications:

  • AAT qualified (or equivalent preferred, but not essential).
  • Other relevant Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications are an advantage.

Salary: Salary level will be dependant on experience and is advertised as FTE, and will be pro-rata according to hours worked.
