PLEASE NOTE: This is an unpaid internship to start with, which has the potential to transition to a permanent position (Visa Sponsorship can only be provided once full-time). We will only be reimbursing food and travel expenses during the course of the internship.

Akoni Technologies is looking for motivated Trainee Sales Executive Interns to join our growing team. The role focuses primarily on sales outreach, lead generation, and business development, while also supporting marketing activities that create new opportunities. You will work closely with our support team to learn how a technology consulting company identifies prospects, builds relationships, and converts leads into clients. Sales training will be provided, so a proactive mindset and willingness to learn are essential.
About the Internship
We are offering 4 internship positions for proactive and ambitious individuals interested in building a career in sales and business development. The internship will typically run for 3 to 6 months, depending on the individual’s performance, learning progress, and how quickly they adapt to the role. High-performing interns may also be considered for full-time opportunities at the end of the internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound sales calls to potential clients to introduce Akoni Technologies’ services.
- Generate new leads through LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, networking events, and online research.
- Identify potential clients across public sector organisations, enterprises, and technology companies.
- Research target organisations and build prospect lists for sales campaigns.
- Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings and product demonstrations with prospective clients.
- Support the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, quotations, and contracts.
- Assist senior sales staff during client meetings, discovery calls, and presentations.
- Follow up with prospects through calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to nurture opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions within the CRM system.
- Track and update sales pipelines and lead conversion progress.
- Assist in preparing sales reports, pipeline updates, and weekly activity reports.
- Support tender and proposal preparation for public sector and enterprise clients when required.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across Akoni’s services such as ServiceNow, Cloud, AI, Data, and Cyber Security consulting.
- Build relationships with potential partners, clients, and industry contacts.
- Support recruitment sales by identifying technology candidates via LinkedIn and other platforms.
Marketing & Brand Support
- Assist in executing digital marketing campaigns and social media promotions.
- Create content for LinkedIn posts, blogs, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Participate in video content and social media campaigns to promote Akoni Technologies.
- Support planning and coordination of networking events, webinars, and marketing activities.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Assist in monitoring marketing campaign performance and lead generation results.
