Akkodis is seeking Documentation Managers to support complex aerospace and defence programmes within highly technical engineering environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in document control, configuration management, or technical administration who enjoys working in structured, process-driven environments where accuracy and compliance are critical.

The Role

As a Documentation Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring engineering documentation and data are managed accurately, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. Working closely with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and programme stakeholders, you will help maintain document integrity, traceability, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks of documentation against programme standards, templates, and guidelines.
  • Receive, review, and manage document and data package deliveries.
  • Distribute controlled documentation to internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Support document control, configuration management, and data management activities.
  • Maintain document registers, tracking systems, and status reporting.
  • Monitor document workflows and ensure compliance with defined processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across documentation and data management processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, programme, and customer stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Document Management, Document Control, Configuration Management, or Technical Administration.
  • Experience working with controlled documentation in regulated or process-driven environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working within a predominantly onsite environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Aerospace, Defence, Manufacturing, or Engineering sector experience.
  • Familiarity with document management and PDM systems, including: PTC Windchill, Confluence, Google Workspace.
  • Understanding of engineering documentation lifecycles and configuration management principles.
  • Experience with aerospace-specific tools and methodologies.
