Job Description
User Researcher – Consultant \\nAkkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading service provider to recruit a number of User Researchers to join a leading digital team with a passion for user-centred design, critical thinking, problem solving and designing and building digital services and products.\\n\\nPlease note this is a hybrid role (in either London, Manchester, Glasgow office) with travel to client sites required on occasion and you will need to be eligible or hold current security clearance.\\n\\nThe Role\\nAs a User Researcher you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, developers, and other User Researchers to plan and conduct high-impact research that helps develop a better understanding of our clients' users.\\nThe Responsibilities\\n* Contribute to creating better products and services that solve users' problems and meets their needs. \\n* Lead the research for your team, suggesting the best approaches and methodologies to use to capture the right user insights. \\n* Plan and run qualitative studies, including remote and in person interviews, observations, diary studies, concept testing and usability studies.
\\n* Use quantitative methods such as surveys to identify actionable insights and collaborate with the analytics team to enhance qualitative insights. \\n* Consider the end-to-end user journey and external factors that may impact the user experience including business, policy, and technical constraints. \\n* Communicate research findings and involve your team in analysis and synthesis to develop empathy with the users and enable evidence-based design decisions.
\\n* Help to embed user-centred design and user research best practices into teams and the wider business.\\n\\nThe Requirements \\n* Hands-on experience of leading user research, using behavioural and attitudinal methods and knowing when to apply them appropriately. \\n* Experience across multiple phases of a product or service lifecycle, from discovery and exploration through to design and delivery. \\n* Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, using GDS design principles\\n* Strong storytelling, communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
\\n* Experience working in multi-disciplinary, agile teams where you've led the user research and influenced the design of a product or service through the insights you've gathered. \\n* Familiarity with using prototypes to test hypotheses, assumptions and validate user journeys. \\n* Understanding of a range of tools and practices for in-person and remote research.\\n\\nIf you are looking for an exciting new challenge to join a leading consultancy, please apply now.
