Tooling Design Engineer required for long term contract assignment based in Bolton (minimum two days per week on site) Overview of department: The Tool Design Team is at the heart of a rapidly evolving and high demand sector, delivering smart, adaptable tooling solutions across a wide range of aerospace projects. Responsibilities: Deliver practical and innovative tool design solutions Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals Re-engineer existing solutions updating models, configuration and associated documentation. Manage your own project timelines and priorities ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Skillset/experience required: Ideally HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition Must have a significant amount of 3D modelling experience and be able to assess 3D models for their quality. Experience in 3D annotations would be a distinct advantage (preferably CREO) Ability to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality 2D/3D definitions (preferably CREO) Strong background in the production of engineering drawings with high attention to detail Knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems and similar standards and GD
