Akkodis is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join the team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of RF and Microwave Instruments for critical defence and space projects. You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of development, from initial concept and architecture through to design, simulation, verification, and final integration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, simulate, and optimise RF and microwave circuitry and equipment.
  • Develop microwave system architectures for radar and radiometer instruments operating from a few MHz up to hundreds of GHz.
  • Perform functional and performance analysis, translating system-level requirements into module and equipment-level designs.
  • Support integration, verification, and validation activities at instrument and system levels.
  • Collaborate closely with systems engineers, hardware designers, and suppliers to deliver reliable, high-performance equipment.
  • Provide technical support across the entire lifecycle, from early studies through to delivery and installation.

Required experience

  • Background in RF/microwave hardware design, analysis, and verification.
  • Proficient with RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, or equivalent.
  • Experienced in using RF test and measurement equipment (VNAs, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators, spectrum analysers).
  • Able to design and optimise RF hardware and system architectures to meet demanding performance requirements.
