Akkodis is establishing a pioneering IT & Digital Centre of Excellence (CoE), designed to drive transformative technology programmes across the UK. This dynamic new team will play a key role in delivering large-scale digital, cloud, software, and infrastructure projects, supporting both public and private sector clients. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and innovative SaaS-based solutions, the CoE will enhance digital capabilities, future-proof workforces, and enable data-driven decision-making.

We're seeking a skilled Technical lead to join our software & integrations team. In this role, you'll be accountable for the discovery, design, and documentation of integrations across our cloud platforms, enabling seamless data flow between systems. You'll be responsible for driving the day-to-day workings of the team working closely with software engineers, business analysts, cloud architects, and consortium stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable integration solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the integrations team ensuring alignment with programme objectives, delivery timelines, and Project Manager's direction.
  • Act as the primary technical interface between the technical team and Project Manager translating technical risks, dependencies, and progress into clear and concise feedback and escalations.
  • Identify technical risks, issues, and dependencies in a timely manner, working closely with the Project Manager on mitigation strategy.
  • Lead and mentor technical team members fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.
  • Represent the integrations function in consortium meetings, technical forums, and stakeholder engagements building strong collaboration among multiple partners.
  • Appropriately challenge senior leadership by posing questions and making solution recommendations.
  • Ensure integrations are secure and compliant, following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing for integration solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of low-code/no-code platform features and enhancements to recommend best-fit solutions.
Required Experience
  • Experience with low-code/no-code integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with API design and management, REST/SOAP services, and event driven architectures.
  • Experience in documenting integration solutions, data flows, and technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive work approach; identifying and resolving issues as they arise, escalating risk where required.
  • Previous experience working with the MOD is preferred but not mandatory.
Required Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate highly technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge of integration methodologies and strategies in predominantly cloud based environments.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to confidently make decisions based on current knowledge, communicating knowledge gaps and potential impact as required.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple lines of effort.
  • Ability to understand strategic impact of decisions outside of immediate workspace.
  • Appreciation of security, compliance, and governance in cloud integrations.
Required Education

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
