Looking to build a career in recruitment but don't fancy the stereotypical sales environment? We're looking for someone to join our specialist IT recruitment team in Sheffield. This is a brilliant opportunity to become part of an experienced, high-performing team that recruits into some of the UK's biggest digital transformation and technology programmes.

You'll work alongside senior consultants who are genuine experts in their markets, helping them deliver an outstanding service to candidates and clients while learning the recruitment industry from the ground up. This isn't an 'admin' job. It's a chance to develop into a successful recruiter over time.

What you'll be doing

  • Sourcing and identifying high-quality candidates using LinkedIn, job boards and our CRM.
  • Speaking to candidates, understanding what they're looking for and arranging interviews.
  • Supporting consultants throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinating interviews and keeping candidates updated.
  • Processing timesheets and supporting contractor administration.
  • Chasing purchase orders and assisting with onboarding.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
  • Helping deliver an excellent experience for both clients and candidates.

As your confidence grows, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and begin developing your own recruitment skills.

About you

We're more interested in attitude than experience. Ideally you'll already have some recruitment experience or have worked in an out-bound sales business, or you could simply be someone who's organised, proactive and enjoys working with people.

You'll probably be:

  • Naturally organised and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Confident speaking to people on the phone and building relationships.
  • Curious and keen to learn.
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team.
  • Positive, reliable and happy getting stuck in.
  • Ambitious enough to want to build a long-term career rather than just finding your next job.

What we're like

Forget the stereotypes. We're a specialist recruitment team with years of experience in our markets. We work hard, support each other and genuinely enjoy what we do. Most of us have been together for a long time. We've got families, kids and lives outside work, so the culture is mature, supportive and down to earth. We still enjoy team socials, celebrating success and having a laugh, but without the ego or 'work hard, party hard' culture you'll find elsewhere. If you enjoy learning from experienced people who genuinely want to help you succeed, you'll fit in well here.

What you'll get

  • A structured development path with real opportunities to progress into a Recruitment Consultant role.
  • Ongoing coaching from experienced recruiters.
  • Hybrid working.
  • Bonus.
  • Excellent benefits package.
  • Supportive team culture where your development genuinely matters.
  • The chance to build a long-term career within one of the UK's leading specialist technology recruitment businesses.

If you're looking for an opportunity where you can learn, develop and become part of a genuinely supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
