As a SCIDA Engineer at Akkodis, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of SCIDA services while maintaining the highest engineering standards. You will act as a trusted partner to site teams, providing technical expertise and fostering operational excellence across allocated sites.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver SCIDA services to allocated sites, ensuring operational continuity while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Regularly visit sites within your Area of Responsibility (AOR) as needed to address technical issues, maintain strong relationships with site staff, and ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all engineering standards-related queries at assigned sites, focusing on JSP 453, JSP 440, AP 600, and relevant British Standards.
- Provide expert advice to site staff, ensuring their compliance with the submission requirements for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for all CIS installations in line with JSP 453 Defence ICT installation Standard.
Required Skills:
- Full UK Driving License.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and innovation.
- Knowledge and experience in ICT engineering and IT.
- Understanding of risk management.
- DV Clearance desired; willingness to undergo the DV process if holding SC clearance
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team to meet tight deadlines.
Required Education:
- Electrical or IT Apprenticeship, NVQ or Degree (or equivalent experience)
