Akkodis is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support major aerospace projects focused on Through Life Support for legacy electromechanical systems operating in highly regulated environments. This role will involve resolving in-service issues, conducting root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and supporting the continued reliability and airworthiness of aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate in-service mechanical issues and structural anomalies
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Support closure of Problem Reports and concessions
- Produce and approve engineering documentation and reports
- Support technical reviews and cross-functional engineering activities
- Contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Experience:
- ~5+ years’ experience in mechanical or electromechanical engineering
- Aerospace or other highly regulated industry background
- Experience with rotating machinery such as generators or electric motors
- Experience supporting legacy or in-service products
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation within regulated environments
Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Ability to perform stress and thermal calculations
- NX CAD experience (NX6 preferred)
- Experience with Windchill or Teamcenter
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Education:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
