Akkodis is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support major aerospace projects focused on Through Life Support for legacy electromechanical systems operating in highly regulated environments. This role will involve resolving in-service issues, conducting root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and supporting the continued reliability and airworthiness of aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate in-service mechanical issues and structural anomalies
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support closure of Problem Reports and concessions
  • Produce and approve engineering documentation and reports
  • Support technical reviews and cross-functional engineering activities
  • Contribute to reliability and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Experience:

  • ~5+ years’ experience in mechanical or electromechanical engineering
  • Aerospace or other highly regulated industry background
  • Experience with rotating machinery such as generators or electric motors
  • Experience supporting legacy or in-service products
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation within regulated environments

Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Ability to perform stress and thermal calculations
  • NX CAD experience (NX6 preferred)
  • Experience with Windchill or Teamcenter
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Education:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
