Akkodis is looking for an experienced Aircraft Material Support Specialist to ensure maintenance teams receive the correct, technically approved parts and materials needed to keep aircraft serviceable and airworthy. This role combines aircraft technical knowledge, material planning and SAP data management.
Key responsibilities:
- Validate material requirements using AMMs, IPCs and Engineering Orders.
- Check part numbers, effectivity, interchangeability and approved alternatives.
- Confirm component eligibility against specific aircraft configurations and MSNs.
- Maintain and audit accurate material information within SAP.
- Track critical delivery dates and support AOG or maintenance work-stop situations.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance planning, supply chain and procurement.
- Support scheduled maintenance, C-checks, engine shop visits and structural repairs.
- Assess returned components to determine serviceability.
Required experience:
- Aircraft material support, maintenance planning, technical services or material engineering experience.
- Previous experience within an airline, MRO, military aviation or aircraft-maintenance environment.
- Strong SAP experience is essential.
- Experience using aircraft documentation, including AMMs and IPCs.
- Knowledge of part effectivity, interchangeability and aircraft configurations.
- Experience supporting scheduled maintenance, heavy checks or AOG requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and stakeholder communication.
A degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, an aircraft maintenance licence, or equivalent industry experience would be beneficial.
