Strategic Business Change Manager Birmingham or Manchester - 2 days on site Up to £75k + bonus and benefits

I'm working with a professional services business that's got a lot of change going on and is now looking for someone to bring a bit more structure, consistency and common sense to how that change is managed. This is a good one for someone who enjoys being close to the business, working with senior stakeholders, and making change feel practical rather than overly process-heavy.

They're looking for a Strategic Business Change Manager who has delivered change workstreams across complex projects or programmes, but who can also step back and think strategically about how change should be implemented across a wider business. So, not just someone who can run the comms and training piece, but someone who understands how to make change land properly, at scale, and in a way that actually sticks.

You'll be helping to shape and embed a proper change framework across the organisation. Not something that just looks good on a slide, but something that helps people understand what's changing, why it matters, and how it affects them day to day.

You'll be working across transformation projects, supporting senior leaders and project teams with the people side of change. That could include:

  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Change impact assessments
  • Comms
  • Training
  • Adoption planning
  • Change champion networks
  • Tracking whether the change has actually landed properly

There's a fair bit to get stuck into, so this would suit someone who likes building things, improving how change is delivered, and bringing people with them along the way. You don't need to be someone who over-complicates it. They need someone structured, confident and practical, who can work with different teams and help turn plans into something the business can actually use.

You'll likely be a good fit if you have:

  • Experience delivering change workstreams across complex projects or programmes
  • The ability to think strategically about change implementation, not just delivery activity
  • A background in change management, business transformation or a change office environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with senior stakeholders
  • A good understanding of change methodologies such as ADKAR, Kotter or similar
  • Experience supporting comms, engagement, training, adoption or benefits realisation
  • The ability to bring structure without making things unnecessarily complicated
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience in professional services would be useful, but it's not a deal-breaker

The role is based from either Manchester, with 2 days per week on site. Salary is up to £75k, with bonus and a strong benefits package on top. It's a strong opportunity for someone who wants to play a visible role in how change is delivered across a sizeable business, without being stuck miles away from the actual people impacted by it.
