We are looking for a proactive and experienced ServiceNow Platform Specialist to join a forward‐thinking team and take ownership of the company's ServiceNow platform. This is a hands‐on, pivotal role where you will be the internal expert and go‐to person for all things ServiceNow. You won't just be maintaining ITSM – you'll shape how the platform supports the wider business, including an exciting new (niche) module being implemented this year.
What You'll Do:
- Take ownership of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it is secure, efficient, and delivers value across the business.
- Administer, configure, and maintain ITSM and key customisations, supporting the wider IT and business teams.
- Support the rollout and ongoing maintenance of the new module, providing internal guidance and governance.
- Work with Finance, Legal, and IT stakeholders to ensure requests are handled sensibly, efficiently, and within best practice.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise platform performance, including workflows, dashboards, reports, and integrations.
- Develop and maintain documentation, run user support sessions, and champion best practice across the business.
- Act as the bridge between technical design and business use, helping the organisation make the most of its ServiceNow investment.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in ServiceNow administration and development (architecture a huge plus), with strong ITSM knowledge.
- Hands‐on experience configuring, maintaining, and optimising the platform (UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Workflows, Flow Designer, Service Portal, ACLs).
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and translating business needs into technical feasibility.
- Strong problem‐solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive "take ownership" mindset.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, and performance analytics.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and contribute to wider platform growth initiatives.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) essential; ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) desirable.
Why This Role is Exciting:
- You will be the central point of knowledge for a growing platform used by IT, Legal, and potentially HR in the future.
- You will join at a phase of transformation, helping the business scale its ServiceNow usage and governance.
- Clear career progression, with the opportunity to expand into application lifecycle management, integrations, and wider business modules.
- Flexible working, with onsite workshops in the Midlands to collaborate with stakeholders and guide the build.
- Be part of a small, highly engaged team where your expertise directly shapes the platform and the business.
