Requirements

  • Strong Power BI experience, including report building, debugging, and data validation
  • Solid SQL fundamentals, comfortable working with joins and querying data to investigate issues
  • Experience analysing and validating data, not just visualising it
  • Exposure to Databricks or similar platforms for deeper data investigation
  • Familiarity with Azure-based data environments (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI Service)
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts within a data warehouse environment
  • Experience working across multiple data domains (finance, operations, logistics is a bonus)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to manage expectations and clearly explain findings to stakeholders across Europe
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset, comfortable in a reactive environment with shifting priorities
  • Beneficial but not essential: Degree in statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related analytical discipline
  • Power BI certifications (e.g. PL-300 / DA-100)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support decision-making across multiple European markets and data domains
  • Take ownership of incoming reporting requests and issues, investigating discrepancies and validating data
  • Ensure stakeholders have confidence in the numbers reported
  • Work across Power BI and Databricks to understand data end-to-end, maintaining a consistent single version of the truth
  • Monitor and maintain reporting performance, contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Actively participate in improving how data is used across the organisation
  • Investigate data discrepancies or bugs raised by stakeholders and elevate to the Data Warehouse team when necessary
  • Contribute to broader projects such as vendor reporting, logistics reporting improvements, and automation initiatives
