An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced RF Engineer to join a growing Electronics Engineering team focused on the design and development of advanced RF and antenna technologies.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering responsibility, giving you the opportunity to lead talented engineers whilst contributing to the delivery of complex, high-performance RF systems. Working alongside technical specialists, project teams and engineering leadership, you'll play a key role in driving both project success and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of RF engineers, providing day-to-day technical guidance and support.
  • Take ownership of complex RF design activities from concept through to delivery.
  • Support the planning, coordination and execution of engineering work packages.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative RF solutions.
  • Drive technical excellence and best practice across design, testing and validation activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to quality, cost and schedule targets.

Technical Experience

Candidates should have practical experience in several of the following areas:

  • RF Design & Development
    • RF circuit design across a broad frequency spectrum (approximately 30MHz to 30GHz).
    • Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA).
    • High Power Amplifiers (HPA).
    • Filters, local oscillators and synthesisers.
    • Modulator and transceiver design.
  • Electronics Engineering
    • Analogue electronics.
    • Digital electronics.
    • Power supply design and integration.
  • Design Tools
    • Microwave Office.
    • HFSS.
    • RF and antenna simulation tools.
  • Manufacturing & Delivery
    • Design for Manufacture (DFM).
    • Design for Test (DFT).
    • Manufacturing processes and product realisation.
  • Project Leadership
    • Task planning and delivery management.
    • Project scheduling and resource planning.
    • Experience using tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar would be advantageous.
