The Role

I am looking for a driven Technical Team Leader to lead a team of Network Support Engineers and ensure smooth delivery of technical support services maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction. The Technical Team Leader will oversee day-to-day Service Desk operations, ensuring incidents and requests are handled efficiently, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams. You will play a key role in developing team capability, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across support processes. This is primarily an office-based role in Worcestershire but will also require ad-hoc travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Network Support Engineers and ensure smooth delivery of technical support services with a high standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee day-to-day Service Desk operations, ensuring incidents and requests are handled efficiently and with clear communication to customers and internal teams.
  • Develop team capability, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement across support processes.
  • Coordinate office-based activities with occasional travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience of day-to-day work with Cisco technologies.
  • CCNA certification at a minimum; CCNP is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience in a Service Desk or technical support environment, ideally in a senior or team-leading capacity.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills; ability to coach, mentor, and motivate technical staff.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including clear written updates and confident customer-facing interaction.
  • Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure, and common enterprise technologies to support effective technical escalation.
  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., incident, request, change management workflows).
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license.
