Job Description
Azure Resiliency/DR Consultant – Remote
Akkodis are partnering with a highly reputable company in the Insurance/Financial Services sector on the expansion of their Business/Service Continuity team. Our client is embarking on a large-scale transformation programme which involves the migration of multiple applications from on-premise to the cloud (Azure) as well as moving away from their physical data centres. The ITSCM team are in the process of creating detailed Disaster Recover/Resiliency plans in preparation for this migration and are now looking for additional support as they move forward.
Our client is looking for an experienced Azure Resilience/DR professional with a proven background supporting clients with large scale Azure migrations. You will support the team by reviewing existing DR/Resilience plans and providing insight into cloud specific areas that the team have not considered. You will create a knowledge base on Azure specifics related to ITSCM and be hands-on in creating comprehensive plans and assisting with testing.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
Essential skills
- Strong Azure Architecture & Design knowledge
- Understanding of Azure testing capabilities
- Experience of technical testing of Azure to prove resilience
- Previous experience working on an Azure migration
- Ability to mentor and share Azure resilience and test capability knowledge with colleagues
- Broad knowledge of relevant resilience regulations
This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension. The client's preference is to have somebody onsite in Warwickshire 1-2 times a month, but they may consider fully remote options for the right candidate. The role has been deemed inside IR35.
