The Role:
I am looking for a driven and experienced IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a small and close knit internal IT team. This is a newly created role working for a growing business.
This is an office-based role in Leicestershire with occasional site travel (mainly East Midlands).
The IT Infrastructure Support Engineer will be joining a team supporting over 500 employees across 45 sites, including a mobile workforce. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the IT infrastructure.
The responsibilities include ensuring system availability, performance, and scalability to meet business requirements. This role requires expertise in managing a combination of on-premises SAN and Saas, iPaaS integration technologies, as well as multiple enterprise applications across various platforms.
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining core IT systems, supporting end-users, and contributing to strategic IT projects. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Experience required:
Proven experience working in a similar IT infrastructure support role.
Must be a team player who is happy in a broad role and collaborates well with others.
Experience with Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, and virtualization.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint.
Familiarity with iPaaS tools and cloud integration.
Backup and disaster recovery experience (Veeam preferred).
Awareness of GDPR and IT risk management.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
